One of the coolest and most effective/interesting church leadership conferences the last few years has been The Nines. Based entirely online, it brings together ideas, speakers and topics that many other conferences are missing.
This year, they are looking at hot topics… including the topic of homosexuality and the church.
I have been nominated to be one of the speakers, which is very cool. I would appreciate your vote — simply go here and vote for me.
What would I talk about?
Beyond the culture wars, how do traditionalist evangelical churches create an honest and authentic environment for gay seekers and self-identified gay-believers, without compromising what they believe the Bible says… plus a few other thoughts and tidbits. (For those who don’t know me, a lot of the material I have covered the last three years on the blog faithautopsy.com will give you a good sense of my story and perspective.)
Thanks for your vote… whether I make it or not, should be a great discussion.
