This past Sunday, I preached a message out of Nehemiah 1 & 2. (I will post the audio as soon as it is posted on the church’s website). In the beginning of the book, Nehemiah hears a report about the remnant left in Israel from his brother Hanani. The report is not good. The walls are in ruins; the people in despair.
This video — produced against images of Hurricane Katrina — captures for me what those in the burnt out city — and Nehemiah — must have felt. I was going to use it in my message, but time wouldn’t allow — so here it is.

Thanks Greg… those images still move me years later. And I know some folks who just went down with a local church to help re-build… still a ton of work to do.

—– Reply message —–
From: "Posterous" <
