Jesus had Same-Sex Attraction

14 Dec

It is true… the Bible says so!

HEBREWS 4:14-16

Therefore, since we have a great high priest [Jesus] who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

This is one of the great mysteries and gifts of the incarnation… of Christmas.

Jesus can sympathize with and has compassion for our every weakness, because He has been tempted in EVERY WAY that we have.

Let that sink in for just a moment…

That is powerful… Jesus knows, because He has been there! This is the incarnation… this is Christmas.

Hey Nick… I think that is a fair point about the title… people seem much more caught up with that than the content of the post (which is pretty orthodox and basic theology). And I agree with you that you could substitute any sin in that title and post. That was really the point.

I apologize if the title offended some unnecessarily.

Blogging is a bit different than journalism… titles are not meant for content. Also, worth noting, that a large percentage of the readers here at Faith Autopsy are LGBT and often not believers… I am thankful that they read and engage. Most don’t comment out of fear of being attacked by religious types (I do tell them that I think that is unlikely) and they often email me directly… slightly irreverent titles are sometimes enough of a draw… and then the content hopefully connects. I am, as you know, an evangelist at heart.

But my apologies if this title went over the line

Thanks Nick!
