Saturday Bonus: The Great Debate

12 Dec

I have posted before on “choosing sides” — what are some of the valid options for gay Christians? In that post, I talked about “three sides” — A, B & X. You can read my original post here.

The language of sides actually comes from “The Great Debate” — posted by the Gay Christian Network. I am not sure if the folks at GCN coined the phrases A-Side & B-Side, but it was the first time I heard those terms and the language has been helpful to me in terms of understanding the issues and sorting the issues personally.

On the GCN site there are two essays — one arguing for Side-A and one for Side-B — that form “The Great Debate”. If you are interested (and I hope you are), check it out here.

Yes to that..civility, gentleness, patience, love and understanding… But the goal has to be to to come to a conclusion, or we will be guilty of "ever learning but never coming to the knowlege of the truth."…. that would not be good, or pleasing to God.
